Washington State is a food-lover’s paradise, offering a diverse and vibrant culinary scene that attracts foodies from around the world.

Visitors enjoy fresh seafood, especially Puget Sound oysters, Dungeness crabs and wild Pacific salmon. Scallops and mussels from the cold waters of the Strait of Juan de Fuca are also highly popular.

Many restaurants are joining the “Farm to Table” movement, featuring seasonal, authentic and tasty menus prepared with locally grown products. These include apples, of which Washington State is the largest producer in the United States.

In the south of the state, the Walla Walla and Yakima Valley wine regions offer an exceptional wine experience, with award-winning vineyards and tastings showcasing local grape varieties. The state is also home to a large number of craft breweries and distilleries, offering local beers, often brewed with hops locally grown.
