It’s tiiiiiime! The countdown to the holiday season has officially begun. If this time of year is sacred to Mariah Carey, it’s just as magical for Detroit, which is bursting with festive events to enjoy all the way into 2026.

To kick off this seasonal tour, head to Campus Martius Park, crowned by its majestic Christmas tree.
Adorned with more than half a million lights, the tree sparkles daily from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Right beside it, the ice rink made its grand return on November 22 and will welcome skaters through March 1.

The must-see Downtown Detroit Market at Cadillac Square completes this enchanted setting: food vendors, local artisan stalls and a magical atmosphere await Wednesday through Sunday until January 4.

Just a few miles away in Dearborn, The Henry Ford hosts its iconic Holiday Nights inside the historic Greenfield Village, beautifully decked out for the season. Expect choirs, ice skating, artisan demonstrations, storytelling from holidays past and even a nostalgic ride aboard the historic Model T.
Tickets are available online here.

Last but not least, Cirque du Soleil will take over Detroit’s Fox Theatre from December 20 to 31 with several performances of “Twas the Night Before…” an exhilarating reinterpretation of the beloved Christmas classic, staged in an equally breathtaking setting.
