This month, Destinations Off Road invites travelers to discover New York through the unique world of New York City firefighters and the FDNY, one of the city’s most iconic institutions.

This immersive tour offers a fresh perspective on the city, focusing on the history, daily life, and essential role firefighters play in shaping New York’s identity, while exploring some of Manhattan’s and Brooklyn’s most emblematic neighborhoods.

Led in French by an expert local guide, this half-day experience is available in small groups or as a private tour. The itinerary includes visits to several active firehouses, depending on ongoing operations, as well as opportunities to interact with firefighters whenever possible.

The route takes guests through neighborhoods such as Brooklyn Heights, Lower Manhattan, and Tribeca, and includes stops at the Fire Museum and the 9/11 Memorial to better understand the FDNY’s history and defining moments.

Travel is done on foot and by subway, offering an authentic immersion into everyday New York life. The tour also highlights architecture, iconic locations, and fire trucks, with a format designed to be engaging for both adults and children.
As a special bonus, goodies are included for younger participants.

This experience is ideal for families and for travelers eager to discover New York in a different way, just like all our themed tours.
