Boston has established itself as one of the new culinary capitals of the United States.

Its notable entry into the MICHELIN Guide in November 2025, as part of the guide’s expansion to major cities in the Northeast, confirms a food scene in full creative momentum. The selection highlights 26 restaurants, including the one-MICHELIN-starred 311 Omakase, 6 Bib Gourmand addresses praised for their excellent value for money, and nineteen recommended restaurants recognized for the quality and consistency of their cuisine.

This momentum continues with Dine Out Boston, running from February 22 to March 7, 2026. Organized twice a year by Meet Boston, the event invites many of the city’s restaurants to offer prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus, providing an accessible way to experience the diversity of Boston’s culinary landscape.

For a more immersive experience, food tours offer a flavorful exploration of the city’s neighborhoods, from the North End to Beacon Hill. Led by local experts, visitors meet artisans and restaurateurs, sample iconic specialties, and discover Boston through its tastes.

The day often ends above the city, on Boston’s rooftops. From Deck 12 to the Rooftop at The Envoy, as well as Bubble Bath and Blind Duck, creative cocktails, shareable plates, and sweeping views over the harbor and city skyline define a distinctly Bostonian experience.
