- High Medical Costs
A simple doctor’s appointment can cost several hundred dollars, and in the event of an accident, the bill can rapidly spiral. AVA covers medical expenses up to €500,000, with no deductible. - Limited Credit Card Insurance Coverage
Even with a gold (or premium) card, medical coverage is capped at €155,000 and is only secondary (i.e. in addition to national health coverage), often with a deductible. AVA reimburses immediately, from the very first euro. - AVA Travel Insurance Covers All Other Unexpected Events
Trip cancellation is covered up to €12,000 per person.
Luggage and personal effects are insured up to €3,000 per person.
Optional coverages are available: waiver of the deductible for rental vehicles (including RVs and snowmobiles) or for high‑risk sports.
