Santa Monica is launching the official Route 66 Centennial Song Contest, inviting musicians, composers and writers from around the world to create the anthem that will accompany the iconic Mother Road all the way to its final stop on the Pacific. This is your chance to capture its spirit, history and sense of adventure. The winning composition will receive USD10,000.
Submissions are open until April 30, 2026, with the winner announced in June.
In this spirit of creativity, Santa Monica also welcomes The Eden, a reimagined historic property along Ocean Avenue.
