To mark the 250th anniversary of the United States, Virginia is launching the Virginia 250 Passport, a unique statewide tourism initiative bringing together 70 iconic historic sites and museums. Led by the Virginia Museum of History & Culture, in collaboration with major institutions such as Colonial Williamsburg, George Washington’s Mount Vernon, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, and the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, this ambitious program invites visitors to rediscover American history through an immersive, educational, and engaging experience.

Designed as both a practical and commemorative tool, the Virginia 250 Passport takes the form of a 64-page booklet covering five major regions of Virginia. It serves as a travel guide, a discount booklet, and a keepsake.

At each participating site, visitors can collect unique stamps and enjoy discounts of up to 15% on admission. By collecting multiple stamps, participants will also have the opportunity to enter a prize draw at the end of the program.

Completely free of charge, the Virginia 250 Passport will be valid through December 31, 2026, offering a unique opportunity to explore the Commonwealth’s exceptional heritage over nearly two years.
