Discover Flagstaff is safely welcoming visitors to the majestic mountain town which sits just 80-minutes from Grand Canyon National Park. Although mask-wearing is still requested, 50% of Coconino County’s population has been vaccinated at the end of April 2021. National Monuments and Parks, attractions, hotels, and restaurants are open, and all flights have resumed into Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (daily non-stops from Denver, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Phoenix).

Several new restaurants have opened in historic downtown, Hyatt Place will be opening a new building by end of summer, and Arizona Snowbowl added a new high-speed chair lift for winter skiers and new family adventures for this summer. Scenic Chair Lift offers views of Grand Canyon’s south rim at the top (3,500 meters) and runs from mid-May through October annually.

Summer festivals will resume in 2022, and Lowell Observatory is now open to the public with a limited schedule. Watch their latest video here and contact the Visitors Center for up-to-date information here.
