The Sharlot Hall Museum (Prescott) is built around the site of the First Territorial Governor’s Mansion (1864), an elegant log cabin that still stands in its original location. The museum was founded by the thoroughly modern Sharlot Mabridth Hall, a poet and activist, who became the first woman to hold public office in Arizona.

The Pinal County Historical Society and Museum (Florence) collection includes 1890s cactus furniture; memorability from movie stars; a gun display, a rodeo exhibit and much more.

Desert Caballeros Western Museum offers art exhibits and life-scale recreations of old town Wickenburg, circa 1915.

The Pioneer Living History Museum has more than 20 original and reproduction buildings form Pioneer Village. A paved sidewalk leads visitors to Senator Ashurst’s 1878 boyhood home, an 1885 schoolhouse, and so many more.

Elected “Best Western Museum” in 2019 (True West magazine), Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West features regularly changing exhibits of Western art and artifacts, entertaining events, and informative programs that bring the country’s Western heritage to life.
