Located 2h30 West of Denver, the small town of Glenwood Springs is best known for its hot springs.

Glenwood has three of them: Glenwood Hot Springs Resort – the world’s largest mineral hot springs pool – Iron Mountain Hot Springs, and Yampah Spa & Vapor Caves.

But Glenwood Springs is about more than hot springs. It’s also a great outdoor destination: rafting on the Colorado River, climbing, biking and mountain biking, golfing, fishing and, of course, hiking are all activites to be done there.

Glenwood Springs also has a surprise for families: a mountaintop adventure park with many rides and caves.

Those interested in Western history can follow in the footsteps of John Henry « Doc » Holliday, dentist, gambler and gunfighter, best known for his participation in the O.K. Corral shootout with his friend Wyatt Earp.

In addition to the road, Glenwood Springs is also accessible by train thanks to the California Zephyr and, more recently, the Rocky Mountaineer.

Glenwood Springs offers a number of hotels, much more affordable than its near-neighbour Aspen, including the historic Hotel Colorado and the Hotel Denver.
