Venture to the heart of horse country for one of South Carolina’s most celebrated traditions, the Carolina Cup (first Saturday in April). Since 1932, the Carolina Cup has drawn thousands of folks from all around the state to watch a half-dozen races.

Head to the Coast for the PGA Tour’s annual stop in Hilton Head Island (every April). The RBC Heritage is played over the famed Harbor Town Golf Links designed by Pete Dye and Jack Nicklaus. Since 1968 this stop is favored by many of the players for its relaxed pace and natural setting at Sea Pines Resort.

Another Spring tradition that started in Hilton Head and moved to Charleston in 2000 is the WTA Tour’s annual stop in the Low county and the start of the tennis clay season. The largest women’s-only tennis tournament in North America is taking place at the newly renovated Credit One Stadium on Daniel Island this spring. The Credit One Open, formerly known as the Volvo Car Open, celebrated its 50th year and features more than 100 of the top tennis players in the world from April 2nd through the 10th.
