Starting from October 1, 2022, all Visa Waiver Program travelers intending to enter the United States by land will be required to obtain an approved ESTA authorization.
From May 2022 until September 30, 2022 – Information period
Travelers can cross the border either with an ESTA or by filling out an I-94W form and paying 7 USD at the border crossing.
From October 1, 2022 – End of the information period
Travelers must have an ESTA to enter the USA if they do not have a visa.
