Winnemucca Ranch Hand Rodeo is one of Nevada’s largest and most exciting rodeos. It takes place every year in the city of Winnemucca, located in the North of the state, named after a 19th century Indian chief of the Paiutes Tribe.

Thirty competitors compete to win awards in wild horse racing. Many events are organized around the Gathering: western exhibition, sale of bulls, etc. The city of Winnemucca is also one of the most important Basque homes in Nevada. This town is also bundled to « Butch Cassidy and the Kid » since the two robbers attacked the local bank in 1900.
