Inauguration of the Silver Line extension linking Washington Dulles International Airport to downtown and into Maryland and Virginia.
After years of construction, the Silver Line extension connecting Washington Dulles International Airport to downtown Washington, D.C., was inaugurated on November 15.
The trip from the airport to the Metro Center station takes 53 minutes and no changes are expected.
This final segment provides a much-needed connection to Washington Dulles International Airport, allowing visitors to go directly to destinations throughout the region. It will be accessible in less than five minutes from the baggage claim area via an underground tunnel.
