It’s official! More than two decades in the making, Presidio Tunnel Tops opened on July 17.
Built over the tops of the Presidio Parkway highway tunnels, this new urban oasis comprises 14 acres of new national parkland in the Presidio of San Francisco.
Thoughtfully designed by James Corner Field Operations (the firm behind New York’s High Line), and mostly funded by philanthropic gifts, Presidio Tunnel Tops features trails, picnic areas, gathering spaces, gardens and meadows that include 180 varieties of plants, as well as scenic overlooks with stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the city.
A new must-see to discover during your next visit to San Francisco!
