Spring in Arizona is blessed with thousands of wildflowers popping up everywhere throughout the State. These colorful flowers are a joy to the eye and lead to hundreds of publications on social media.
Arizona State Parks & Trails keeps track of the wildflower bloom, park by park, day by day, on its website, so as not to miss anything of this bright natural show.
Thanks to the winter rain, Picacho Peak, Catalina, Lost Dutchman, Alamo Lake and Cattail Cove State Parks saw the first flowers bloom as early as February. In Red Rock and Oracle State parks, located at higher elevations, the wildflower season usually starts later in May and lasts until mid-June.
